For Another Time — Privacy Policy

Last updated: 15 October 2026

For Another Time is an app for saving things you might want later: products, places, gift ideas, trips. It only brings something back when it matters. This policy explains which data we use for that, why, and what your rights are.

We keep it small: no ads, no tracking, and we never sell data.

1. Who we are

For Another Time is made by [YOUR NAME]. Privacy contact: foranotertime@gmail.com.

We are the data controller under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. What data we process, and why

Your saved items

What you save in For Another Time — such as the title, your note, a link, prices, a target price, a place (the name and coordinates of the place you choose), a trip date or an occasion — is stored in your own private space on our server. That way nothing gets lost, and everything works on a new iPhone when you sign in.

Your account

Keeping an eye on prices

When you save a product with a link, our server occasionally checks that shop's public page for the price and availability. The link is stored in a shared product list, so the same product doesn't have to be checked separately for everyone. That list does not record who saved the product.

Your location

For Another Time uses your location only while you use the app, and only if you allow it. Your location is used on your iPhone to see whether you are near a place you saved. Your current location is not sent to our server.

Another Time+ (subscription)

Payments are handled entirely by Apple. We never see payment details. To check whether you have Another Time+, the app sends a purchase receipt signed by Apple to our server. From it we store only: which subscription, Apple's transaction number, the expiry date, and whether it is a test or a real purchase.

Protection against abuse

To stop bots from creating fake accounts in bulk, the app performs an invisible check through Cloudflare Turnstile when a new anonymous account is created. Cloudflare processes technical data about your device and connection (such as your IP address) for this.

Notifications

Notifications are scheduled on your iPhone itself. You can turn them off at any time in the app or in iOS.

3. Who we share data with

We only share data with parties we need to run the app. We have agreements with them about protecting your data:

PartyPurposeLocation
SupabaseStoring accounts and saved items (server and database)EU (Frankfurt, Germany)
GoogleSign in with Google (only if you choose it)Worldwide
ApplePayments, App Store, maps and place searchWorldwide
CloudflareBot protection (Turnstile)Worldwide

When data is processed outside the European Economic Area, this happens under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

We never sell data and never use it for advertising.

4. How long we keep data

5. Your rights

You have the right to access, correct or delete your data, to object, to restrict processing, and to take your data with you (data portability). You can do much of this yourself in the app. For anything else, email foranotertime@gmail.com; we respond within one month.

If you disagree with how we handle your data, you can lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority — in the Netherlands, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl).

6. Security

Your data is sent encrypted (HTTPS). On the server every user is isolated: you can only see your own items. Your sign-in details on your iPhone are stored in the secure iOS Keychain.

7. Children

For Another Time is not intended for children under 16.

8. Changes

If we change this policy, we publish the new version on this page and update the date at the top. For important changes we let you know in the app.
